SKIING IN LA ROSIERE
La Rosière is a charming, high-altitude ski resort in the French Alps, situated at 1,850m in the Haute-Tarentaise. Its south-facing slopes enjoy plenty of sunshine, while the resort’s location provides good snow conditions throughout the winter.
What makes La Rosière really special is its direct link to La Thuile in Italy, creating the cross-border Espace San Bernardo ski area. With 156km of pistes ranging from wide, gentle slopes to more challenging high-altitude terrain, there is something for skiers of all abilities.
The traditional Alpine architecture, family-friendly atmosphere and spectacular mountain views give La Rosière a relaxed feel compared with some of the larger French ski resorts. It’s a great choice for families and skiers looking for a combination of sun, snow and scenery – and the chance to have a genuine Italian pizza for lunch!
