20 years of trusted bens bus ski transfers It all started from humble beginnings back in 2006, with a youthful Ben running just a few of buses from Grenoble Airport to Les 2 Alpes and Alpe d’Huez. In those 20 years we’ve come a long way to become the trusted and established transfer company that we are today. We now run ski transfers from Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble Airports to more than 20 ski resorts across France — and we’re still growing.

20 years means a lot of experience – and a lot of driving! Our expert team have navigated countless busy Alpine roads, dealt with delayed flights, landslides, rockslides, road closures, conflicts, pandemics, farmer protests, (lots of) French strikes, volcanic eruptions – and of course Brexit – and still managed to safely transport hundreds of thousands of passengers up the mountain with a smile.

More than anything though, we’re proud of the reputation we’ve built along the way. Many of our customers come back year after year, while others discover us through recommendations from friends and family. Our reviews and repeat bookings are a huge part of what has made the business what it is today, and we’re grateful to everyone who has travelled with us, recommended us, worked with us or helped us along the way.

🎂 A BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR US…….AND FOR YOU!

Happy Birthday Bens Bus We thought turning 20 deserved a little treat, so we’ve given ourselves a brand-new website.

And because it seems a bit mean to keep all the fun to ourselves, we’re giving you one too.

To celebrate us turning 20, we’re offering 5% off all Ben’s Bus routes for the next 20 days. Just enter the promo code HappyBirthdayBen! when you make your booking.

So if you’re heading to the Alps this winter, now is a pretty good time to book your ski transfer.

We’re incredibly proud to reach this milestone, and we’re looking forward to helping skiers reach the French Alps for many more years to come.

🥳 Happy birthday to us! 🚌🏔️

OUR STORY & MILESTONES

In case you’re interested. Or you can read our About Us page.

2006 : Ben’s Bus is incorporated in October 2006 by Ben, a mountain-lover who wanted to get skiers out of hire cars and minibuses and onto bigger, more economical direct buses. After checking the legalities and earning the blessing from Grenoble Airport and the ski resorts of Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alpes, he formed a relationship with a local coach company in the mountains.

2007 : With a little loan from his friend, he ran his first bus in January 2007 – with coffees and croissants for his first-ever customers. The aim was always, and remains today, to offer reliable, affordable and straightforward ski transfers. Now it’s backed up by the experience of a company that’s been doing it for 20 years.

2009 : Transfers from Geneva Airport launched, as well as new routes from Grenoble Airport to the big Tarentaise resorts of Val Thorens, Les Menuires, Tignes, Val d’Isere, Meribel and Mottaret.

2010 : Nathalie joins Ben’s Bus. She remains with us to this day. As Ops Manager, she’s an integral part of the Ben’s Bus fabric and operations, beloved and respected by customers, drivers, reps and Ben. Nat, you are a legend. Thank you ❤️

2011 : La Plagne and Les Arcs added to our ever-growing list of services.

2014 : Lyon Airport services start to the Tarentaise resorts of Val Thorens, Tignes and Val d’Isere.

2020 : Covid hits! Ben’s Bus lays on emergency buses to help get people home.

2022 : After a 2 year hiatus, Ben’s Bus returns from the brink of bankruptcy and starts running buses again.

2023 : Alpe d’Huez and Les 2 Alpes services start from Lyon Airport.

2024 : Ben’s Bus goes Carbon Neutral with its ground-breaking new initiative.

2026 : New website launched and ApplePay and GooglePay finally accepted!

We’ve always known that getting from an airport to a ski resort isn’t quite the same as an ordinary airport transfer. Mountain roads can be affected by snow, ice, traffic and busy holiday periods, while journey times can vary considerably depending on the weather and road conditions.

We knew 20 years ago, as we do now, that customers shouldn’t have to worry about that. This is why our website booking engine was built so you could just put your flight details in and our bus times would appear. We’ve already applied our expert knowledge and experience to ensure enough time is allowed to get you to your airport in time for your flight.

Use the booking form at the top of this page to get a quote in just a few seconds. And just one last time – Happy Birthday To Us!
