TRANSFER TIME FROM GENEVA AIRPORT TO TIGNES
The transfer time from Geneva Airport to Tignes Le Lac is about 3 hours 30 minutes. This depends on the date, the time of day, weather and the traffic conditions. More time is given for journeys during busy periods. The distance from Geneva Airport to Tignes Le Lac is 175km (109 miles). We usually transport passengers in large coaches, which reduces your carbon footprint.
TIGNES BUS STOPS
Our services pick up and drop off at convenient places in Tignes Les Brevieres, Tignes 1800, Tignes Le Lac and Tignes Val Claret. You can select any of these resorts when you book with us. Once in resort, you can make use of the local, free, in-resort shuttle buses to take you onto you accommodation. We also run transfers from Geneva to Val d’Isere and Geneva to Bourg St Maurice.
TIGNES AND GENEVA AIRPORT USEFUL INFORMATION
The ski area in Tignes forms part of the word class Tignes / Val d’Isere domaine, formely known as the Espace Killy after the triple Olympic champion from the 1960’s. The Tignes part of the terrain centres around the Grande Motte glacier, which sits at an altitude of 3456m and offers 300km of varied pistes The area has an excellent snow record and so is a safe bet for thousands of Brits and Internationals alike. Shared ski transfers between Geneva Airport (GVA) and Tignes operate on the following dates:
Every SATURDAY from the 5th December 2020 until the 24th April 2021
Every SUNDAY from the 13th December 2020 until the 11th April 2021
Please contact the Tourist Office for advice on weekday transfers as we do not operate them on this route.
Please Note The Following Exceptions:
– On the 5th & 13th December 2020 we only have buses to Tignes
– On the 11th & 24th April 2021 we only have buses to Geneva Airport
The bus times between Geneva Airport and Tignes are designed so you spend less time at the airport and more time in the resort. We have up to 7 departures each Saturday. Tignes Val Claret Bus Stop

Tignes Le Lac Bus Stop
At the main bus station, the “Gare Routiere”, in the centre of the village. If you are staying in Le Lavachet, this is the stop for you. View our Tignes Le Lac Bus Stop in Google Maps.
Tignes 1800 Bus Stop

Tignes Les Brevieres Bus Stop
On the road out of the village, on the left there is a large parking area. Most of the Tignes Chalet Chardons chalets are located in this resort. View the Tignes Les Brevieres Bus Stop in GoogleMaps.
We give our customers at least 45 minutes to get from the plane to our desk.
We may be able to wait for 15 minutes in case you are delayed. After 15 minutes, your bus may have to leave due to restrictions at the airport and the limits of driver hours.
If you miss your transfer, we will put you on our next service, availability permitting, at no extra cost. We have many buses each day and we leave empty seats on our buses to allow for late-comers.
The transfer times given below are approximations. We allow more time for the journey when we think the traffic may be bad, such as during the French school holidays or when local events are taking place.
– The transfer time from Geneva to Tignes Les Brevieres is usually around 3 hours 5 minutes.
– The transfer time from Geneva to Tignes 1800 is usually around 3 hours 15 minutes. .
– The transfer time from Geneva to Tignes Le Lac is usually around 3 hours 30 minutes. .
– The transfer time from Geneva to Tignes Val Claret is usually around 3 hours 40 minutes.
Our vehicles generally take the fastest and most direct route, via the A41 motorway and then the N90 national road through Annecy. The road between Moutiers and Bourg St Maurice (where we may ask you to change buses) can be subject to heavy traffic, especially between 8am – 12 noon. The last stretch of the journey is the D902 mountain road up to Tignes.
