Geneva Airport is the closest major international airport to Tignes and the most convenient one to fly into. The journey from Geneva Airport to Tignes takes about 3 hours. You can choose between travelling by private transfer, shared transfer or by hire car. Shared transfers are the most affordable option and we have the best prices as we generally use large coaches. This means you have more space, making the journey more comfortable. It’s also more environmentally friendly. We run a regular service every week-end throughout the 2020 / 2021 winter ski season.

TRANSFER TIME FROM GENEVA AIRPORT TO TIGNES
The transfer time from Geneva Airport to Tignes Le Lac is about 3 hours 30 minutes. This depends on the date, the time of day, weather and the traffic conditions. More time is given for journeys during busy periods. The distance from Geneva Airport to Tignes Le Lac is 175km (109 miles). On peak Saturdays, we have 9 well timed buses running to Tignes, so you’ll spend less time at the airport and more time on the piste. Details of our bus TIMETABLE can be seen below. We usually transport passengers in large coaches, which reduces your carbon footprint.
TIGNES BUS STOPS
Our services pick up and drop off at convenient places in Tignes Les Brevieres, Tignes 1800, Tignes Le Lac and Tignes Val Claret. You can select any of these resorts when you book with us. Once in resort, you can make use of the local, free, in-resort shuttle buses to take you onto you accommodation. We also run transfers from Geneva to Val d’Isere and Geneva to Bourg St Maurice.
TIGNES AND GENEVA AIRPORT USEFUL INFORMATION
Shared ski transfers between Geneva Airport (GVA) and Tignes operate on the following dates:
Every SATURDAY from the 5th December 2020 until the 24th April 2021
Every SUNDAY from the 13th December 2020 until the 11th April 2021
Please Note The Following Exceptions:
– On the 5th & 13th December 2020 we only have buses to Tignes
– On the 11th & 24th April 2021 we only have buses to Geneva Airport
The bus times between Geneva Airport and Tignes are designed so you spend less time at the airport and more time in the resort. We have up to 7 departures each Saturday. The journey between Geneva Airport and Tignes Les Brevieres, the closest of the Tignes resorts, usually takes around 3 hours 5 minutes.
Tignes 1800 is another 10 to 15 minutes up the road, Le Lac is a further 10 minutes and Val Claret a further 5 minutes.
The transfer times given above are approximations. We allow more time for the journey when we think the traffic may be bad, such as during the school holidays or when local events are taking place.
Our vehicles generally take the fastest and most direct route, via the A41 motorway and then the N90 national road through Annecy. The road between Moutiers and Bourg St Maurice (where we may ask you to change buses) can be subject to heavy traffic, especially between 8am – 12 noon. You should try to avoid travelling at these times, especially during the French school holidays. The last stretch of the journey is the D902 mountain road up to Tignes.

Tignes Val Claret Bus Stops
We have 2 bus stops in Tignes Val Claret and you can select either when you book with us.
UPPER BUS STOP: The ‘Gare Routiere’ Bus Station, which is a small outdoor coach park on the North Eastern side of the village, just above all of the buildings. It is close to the Parking du Golf. View our Tignes Val Claret Upper Bus Stop in GoogleMaps.

Tignes Le Lac Bus Stop
At the main bus station, the “Gare Routiere”, in the centre of the village. If you are staying in Le Lavachet, this is the stop for you. View our Tignes Le Lac Bus Stop in Google Maps.
Tignes 1800 Bus Stop

Tignes Les Brevieres Bus Stop
