WHICH AIRPORT IS BEST FOR LA PLAGNE?
All the La Plagne resorts sit above the village of Aime, about half way along the N90 national road. The transfer time therefore depends on which La Plagne resort you are going to. Of course, the journey also depends on the traffic and the weather. If you are travelling during the school holidays, when the roads can be very busy, the journey does take longer. We allow extra time when we know the traffic may be bad. Chambery is the closest airport but it has a limited selection of flights. As a result, most people choose to fly into Geneva, Lyon or Grenoble. These airports have more regular flights to more destinations. For transfers from the train station, we’d recommend the local public buses. The times and distances shown below are for Belle Plagne, the furthest of all the La Plagne resorts.
We will ask you to change onto a public bus at Aime. Our drivers will help you with this.
The journey from Aime to Belle Plagne takes about 45 minutes. This depends on whether you take a public bus or private taxi and what time of day you are travelling. Please allow plenty of time to be at Aime in time for our bus departure.

LA PLAGNE SKI RESORT
La Plagne is a great family destination that is split into many different sub resorts, all of which have their own characteristics. Some resorts are more suited to families whereas some are more suitable for younger groups. However, with its 225km of runs to choose from, the La Plagne ski area does offer skiing for all tastes and abilities. There are 18 black runs, 33 reds, 69 blues and 10 greens.
