Lyon Airport to Val d’Isere transfers operate on some Fridays and every weekend during the 2019 / 2020 ski season. This is our 14th year running low cost shared transfers and our 5th running our Lyon to Val d’Isere route. The Ben’s Bus network also covers shuttles from Geneva Airport to Val d’Isere & Grenoble Airport to Val d’Isere. We usually transport passengers on our transfers to Val d’Isere in coaches, which reduces your carbon footprint. A Lyon to Val d’Isere transfer will cost you £89.80 Return or £49.80 Single on Saturdays. With our group discounts (6 people or more in a booking), you could pay as little as £75pp Return. TRANSFER TIME FROM LYON AIRPORT TO VAL D’ISERE
The transfer time from Lyon Airport to Val d’Isere is between 3 hours 35 minutes and 4 hours, depending on the date, time of day, the weather and traffic. We allow more time for the journey when we know the road conditions may be bad. The distance from Lyon Airport to Val d’Isere is 221 km. We have up to 5 well timed buses going back and forth each Saturday, which means you should never have to wait long. Visit the section BUS TIMES below to find more details on this. The route our vehicles usually take is the A43 (E70) motorway to Albertville, via Chambery, then the N90 national road to Bourg St Maurice before climbing the D902 up to Val d’Isere.
BUS STOP IN VAL D’ISERE
Our service stops at the main bus station in Val d’Isere, the “Gare Routiere”. This is in the centre of town and is the most commonly used stop. We also have a stop in the area known as La Daille. La Daille is the purpose built part of Val d’Isere, about 5 minutes away from the main resort. You can select either of these stops when you book with us. Our shared ski transfers from Lyon Airport to Val d’Isere run on the following dates.
FRIDAYS: Every Friday from the 20th December 2019 – 31st January 2020 and the 3rd & 10th April 2020
SATURDAYS: Every Saturday from the 14th December 2019 until the 18th April 2020
SUNDAYS: Every Sunday from the 22nd December 2019 until the 12th April 2020
AT ALL OTHER TIMES: We do not operate this service on other weekdays. We would recommend taking the shuttle bus service from Lyon Airport to Grenoble city centre. From Grenoble you can take a train (with SNCF) or bus to Bourg St Maurice and then a local bus or taxi to Val d’Isere. The Tourist Office can help you with this. Alternatively, you could book a private taxi.
Please Note The Following Exceptions:
– On the 14th, 22nd, 27th and 29th December 2019 we only have services from Lyon airport.
– On the 20th December 2019 and the 10th, 12th and 18th April 2020 we only have services to Lyon airport.

- Bookings made the day before or day of your first transfer will be charged a Last Minute Booking Fee of £10 per booking
- There is a £6 charge for each Sunday or weekday you travel on, but we don’t charge anything for carrying skis

how long does the journey take?
The transfer time between Lyon Airport & Val d’Isere is usually between 3 hours 35 mins – 4 hours. These times are approximations. Please remember that expected journey times are difficult to predict in the mountains due to weather and traffic conditions.
We allow extra time for the journey when we know the traffic may be bad. With years of experience driving this route, we know how long the transfer time may be depending on the time and date of the transfer. Put your flight details into our booking system and we will show you a list of available bus times. We may ask you to change buses at Bourg St Maurice. Our reps or drivers will help you with this.
How to find our buses at Lyon Airport
Our coaches to Val d’Isere depart from either Bus Bay 11 or 12 of the “Gare Routiere” on the Ground Floor of Terminal 1. On Saturdays, a uniformed Ben’s Bus rep will there to assist you. On all other days, our drivers will help you but a Ben’s Bus rep will be available to help you by telephone if needed. Our numbers will be on your eTicket once you book with us.

We pick up and drop off at the main bus station, the ‘Gare Routiere‘, in the centre of Val d’Isere and at a bus stop in La Daille. Our bus will have a sign in the window. Please ensure you are at the stop 10 minutes before departure time to allow us to pack your luggage onto the bus and that you get on the right bus – we have buses going to other Airports too!

Val d’Isere Gare Routiere Stop
The main bus station in the centre of town can get quite busy on a Saturday, so please do keep an eye out for our bus. You can see it on google maps here.
Val d’Isere La Daille Stop
On the side of the road heading out of resort, just past the building with the big sign “Hotel, Restaurant, Pizzeria” is a bus stop with the words “ARRET, LIGNES REGULIERES”. You can see the stop in google maps here.
what if our flight is delayed?
Our buses are timed to give our customers at least 45 minutes to pass through Passport Control, Customs and Baggage Reclaim.
We may be able to hold our bus back for up to 15 minutes in case you are delayed. After 15 minutes, our vehicle may have to leave. If you miss your transfer, we will put you on our next service, availability permitting, at no extra cost. We have many buses going back and forth each day and our staff are trained to do the very best by our customers to ensure their holiday starts off on the right note.
