TRANSFER TIME FROM LYON AIRPORT TO LES MENUIRES
The transfer time from Lyon Airport to Les Menuires is about 3 hours, depending on the date, time of day, the weather and traffic. We allow more time for the journey when we think the travelling conditions may be difficult. The distance from Lyon Airport to Les Menuires is 190 km.
The route our vehicles usually take is the A43 motorway to Albertville, via Chambery, then the N90 national road to Moutiers before climbing the D117 up to Les Menuires.

Please note that Les Menuires is a large, sprawling resort in the mountains. It could be a long walk from our only bus stop to your accommodation and you should research this and understand this before booking with us. The shuttle buses do not operate 24hrs a day and local taxis may not agree to do a short, in-resort journey.

Ben’s Bus transfers between Lyon Airport and Les Menuires run on these dates:
SATURDAYS : From the 12th December 2026 – 3rd April 2027.
SUNDAYS & WEEKDAYS : We do not operate on Sundays or weekdays from Lyon Airport. See below for some advice.
Throughout the season, we have more buses on more Saturdays and some Sundays from Grenoble Airport to Les Menuires, as well as from Geneva Airport to Les Menuires on all Saturdays and Sunday. You could fly into one airport and out of another and then make 2 separate, single bookings with us. Or you could book one way with us and the other way with another company.
Please Note The Following Exceptions: On the 12th December we only have services to Les Menuires. On the 3rd April we only have services from Les Menuires.
LES MENUIRES TRANSPORT, WEATHER AND RESORT INFORMATION
The best way to travel from Lyon Airport to Les Menuires is on a direct shared transfer. Shared transfers are cheaper and more environmentally friendly than private transfers and faster than public transport, which usually require a change of vehicles. How Long Does It Take To Get From Lyon Airport To Les Menuires?
The transfer from Lyon Airport to Les Menuires usually takes about 3 hours, depending on the traffic and weather. The journey can take longer during busy periods, particularly at Christmas, New Year and during French February school holidays. Between around 9am - 2pm the roads can get congested in the Moutiers area, where the roads bottleneck.
Ben's Bus stops at the main bus station in Les Menuires, which the French call the 'Gare Routiere'. From here you can easily get to your accommodation using the free and frequent shuttle buses that the resort provides. They circulate the resort regularly, although some may not run 24 hours a day.
