TRANSFER TIME FROM LYON AIRPORT TO SAINTE FOY
The transfer time from Lyon Airport to Sainte Foy is normally between 3 – 4 hours. This depends on the date, time of day, weather and traffic. We allow more time for the journey when we think the travelling conditions warrant it. The distance from Lyon Airport to Sainte Foy is 202 km. Our vehicles usually take the A43 (E70) motorway to Albertville, then the N90 national road to Bourg St Maurice, before climbing the D902 for the short trip up to Sainte Foy.
BUS STOP IN SAINTE FOY
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ: Our bus will drop you and pick you up at the bus stop opposite the Hotel Monal in St Foy Village. This is the town on the main road between Bourg St Maurice and Tignes / Val d’Isere. There is a purpose built ski resort, “St Foy Station” which is not on the main road and we do not stop there. If you are staying in St Foy Station, you would need to arrange onward transport, in advance, from our stop in St Foy village to St Foy Station. The St Foy Tourist Office can help you with this.

Due to the fact Christmas Day falls on a Saturday this year and because the pandemic has resulted in fewer flights, our shared ski transfers from Lyon Airport to Sainte Foy only run on Saturdays on the following dates:
SATURDAYS: From the 8th January – 26th March 2022
AT ALL OTHER TIMES: We run a more regular timetable on more days, including Sundays and some weekdays, from Geneva Airport to Sainte Foy and Grenoble Airport to Sainte Foy. If you have to fly into Lyon and you cannot take our service, you do have the option of public transport, private transfers or a hire car. Visit this page of our website to see more details. If you are flying into one airport and out of another, you can still make 2 separate, single bookings with us.
Please Note The Following Exceptions:
– On the 8th January we only have services from Lyon airport.
– On the 26th March we only have services to Lyon airport.

how long does the journey take?
The transfer time between Lyon Airport & Sainte Foy is usually between 3 – 4 hours. These times are approximations. Please remember that expected journey times are difficult to predict in the mountains due to weather and traffic conditions.
We allow extra time for the journey when we know the traffic may be bad. With years of experience driving this route, we know how long the transfer time may be depending on the time and date of the transfer. Put your flight details into our booking system and we will show you a list of available bus times. We may ask you to change buses at Moutiers or Bourg St Maurice. Our reps or drivers will help you with this.
How to find our buses at Lyon Airport
Our coaches to Sainte Foy depart from either Bus Bay 11 or 12 of the “Gare Routiere” on the Ground Floor of Terminal 1. On Saturdays, a uniformed Ben’s Bus rep will be there to assist you. Otherwise, our friendly drivers will help you but a Ben’s Bus rep will always be available at the end of a phone. Our numbers will be on your eTicket once you book with us.

The Ben’s Bus Stop is at the bus stop lay opposite the Hotel Monal in St Foy town. Please note, St Foy town is NOT St Foy Station! Visit the Tourist Office website for details on how to get to St Foy Station. Please ensure you are at the stop 10 minutes before departure time to allow us to pack your luggage onto the bus. Our vehicles will have signs in the window but please ensure you get on the correct bus as we have buses going to many airports! what if our flight is delayed?
Our buses are timed to give our customers at least 45 minutes to pass through Passport Control, Customs and Baggage Reclaim.
We may be able to hold our bus back for up to 15 minutes in case you are delayed. After 15 minutes, our vehicle may have to leave. If you miss your transfer, we will put you on our next service, availability permitting, at no extra cost. Our staff are trained to do the very best by our customers to ensure their holiday starts off on the right note.
