The Ben’s Bus Service from Grenoble Airport to Aime
If you are travelling from Grenoble Airport to Aime on a Saturday or Sunday morning (or on a few weekdays around Christmas and New Year) during the 2016 / 2017 winter ski season, Ben’s Bus will have a ski transfer service for you. We have 5 buses going back and forth each Saturday and an early morning service on Sunday. At all other times you can catch the airport shuttle bus to Grenoble centre and then catch onward transport to Aime. We pride ourselves on offering the cheapest transfers on the market whilst still offering a fantastic level of service. Our ski buses are regular and timely and we have many staff to help your transfer from the airport or from the resort go as smoothly as possible.
Aime is a village on the valley floor and the transport hub for all the La Plagne resorts as well as Landry, Pesiey & Les Coches. The transport connections from Aime are very good and the public buses are very regular. More details about this can be found in the section “Onward Transport from Aime“ below. We have been operating our ski transfers from Grenoble Airport to Aime since 2010 and have become the Number 1 transport provider on this route.
How Much Does A Ski Transfer Cost From Grenoble Airport to Aime?
A return ski transfer from Grenoble to Aime with Ben’s Bus will cost just £77.80pp and a Single will cost just £42.80pp. With some great discounts for groups, you could be paying as little as just over £68pp Return. We run our shared transfers from Grenoble Airport to Aime, where you can catch onward transport to many ski resorts including La Plagne, Les Coches and Peisey (expand the section below for more details on this) on the following dates
Saturdays: Every Saturday from the 10th December 2016 to the 15th April 2017
Sundays: We operate a Sunday morning service between Grenoble Airport and Aime between the 18th December 2016 until the 2nd April 2017. If you are on a flight that does not land in the morning, please follow the advice for Weekdays below.
Extra Christmas & New Year Services
We have a service from Grenoble Airport to Aime on the 26th & 27th December and from Aime to Grenoble Airport on the 2nd & 3rd January
Weekdays: We do not operate this service on weekdays. We would recommend taking the shuttle bus service from Grenoble Airport to Grenoble city centre. From Grenoble you can take a train to Aime with SNCF, or check out Altibus for details on public buses. Alternatively, you could book a private transfer from Grenoble Airport with Actibus.
Please Note The Following Exceptions:
– On Saturday the 10th December 2016 we only have a service from Grenoble airport to Aime
– On Sunday the 18th December 2016 we only have a service from Grenoble airport to Aime
– On Saturday the 15th April 2017 we only have a service from Aime to Grenoble airport
– There will be no service on Sunday 25th December 2016

To find the time of our bus that will best suit your flight, click on the Book Now button on the right. A list of all flights and corresponding bus times will appear. Generally speaking, the maximum wait time is 1 hour and 40 minutes - often much less.
For your return to Grenoble Airport, we aim to get you there 2 hours before your flight leaves, although for the early morning buses, when the traffic is generally very free flowing, we can afford to get you there a little later, around 1 hour 40 minutes before the first flight.
We have set our bus times responsibly to ensure you catch your flight, whilst minimising the wait you have at the airport. We hope that you will find a bus that suits you.
The distance between Grenoble Airport and Aime is about 171 kilometres and the transfer time for this journey is between 2 hours 30 minutes & 3 hours, depending on the weather and traffic. We allow extra time on certain dates and certain times of the day when we know traffic may be bad. Our years of experience has enabled us to time our buses to get you to the airport in good time for your flight.
When you arrive at Aime you have a variety of transport options to get you to your final destination. We have listed them below.
Aime train station actually shares the same building as the bus station, where we will drop you. It has eurostar, high speed trains (TGV) and regional trains passing through. From here you can make connections to get to many cities and towns. Check out the SNCF website for more train information.
Aime is the main transport hub for the area. It has frequent services to the surrounding ski resorts at week-ends, including Plan Peisey, the various La Plagne resorts and Les Coches. The Altibus website has information about local buses.
To Les Coches: The 20km journey takes about 50 minutes and costs about 60€ for up to 4 people
To Plan Peisey: The 20km journey takes about 30 minutes and costs about 60€ for up to 4 people
To Peisey-Nancroix: The 21km journey takes about 40 minutes and costs about 60€ for up to 4 people
There are usually many taxis hanging around the bus station in Aime. However, we would always advise to book taxis in advance on Saturdays as they can be very busy on transfer day.
We've negotiated a 10% discount with our friends at AlloBK taxi for Ben's Bus customers travelling on from Aime. Their prices, with the 10% discount included, can be seen below. We'll give you details on how to get the discount on our e-Tickets once you book with us.
We will drop you at the main "Gare Routiere" in Aime. This is the bus and train station of Aime. It's quite small but it does get busy on Saturdays. Our services may not be listed on the TV screens, so look out for a bus with "Ben's Bus - Grenoble Airport" in the window or ask a driver for help.
From Aime you can make your own way to many of the nearby ski resorts either by public transport or private taxi. Read the "Onward Transport from Aime" section on this page for more information on this.
If your flight is delayed or you are held up in Customs or Baggage Reclaim, we will wait for you but we may not be able to hold our bus for longer than 30 minutes after its scheduled departure time. After that we will do everything we can to get you on our next ski transfer bus to Aime at no extra cost. We have many buses going back and forth each day and our record for getting people to resort is extremely good
For this particular route, all children between 2 years old and 12 years old are entitled to a 10% discount. This discount will be applied automatically when you select the number of children in the booking process. If you require booster seats we would kindly ask you to supply these yourselves. Most coaches only have 2 point lap belts so booster seats may not be necessary. For infants under 2 years old you have 2 options:
1. Children under 2 may legally sit on the parents knee and so can travel for free. Please Contact Us once you have booked to supply us with the infants' name. Please note the journey between Grenoble Airport and Aime does take around 2 hours 30 minutes.
2. If you would like your infant to sit in a child seat, you must Contact Us in advance to check that a suitable seat is available. We need to allocate you one of the front 4 seats to ensure you have a seat with a 3 point seat belt to securely fix your child seat. We will then ask you to pay the full fare for a child. We regretfully cannot provide you with child seats so you must bring your own.

- We have bilingual managers to greet you at the the Airport and reps in resort to help you with your transfer.

Please note that very infrequently, our transfers from Grenoble Airport may require a stop at Moutiers, where you may need to change over to another feeder coach. Our reps and / or drivers will help you with this and we will try and keep this inconvenience to a minimum.

Aime is a small town and the bus station is located just off the main road, on the Avenue de la Gare. It is right next to the train station. Together, they are known as the "Gare Routiere". There are only about 6 bus bays in the station, so please be alert for any vehicle with a Ben's Bus sign in the windscreen. Please note that our bus information will not appear on the TV screens in the waiting area.
The bus station has a sheltered waiting area where you can buy drinks and snacks. During the winter it is open from 6.30am - 6.30pm on Saturdays and from 7.30am - 5.30pm on Sundays & weekdays. You can call them on +33(0)4 79 242 446.
Aime is the transport hub for the region and has excellent transport links to the surrounding ski resorts. The local buses are run mostly by Transavoie.
The train station has high speed trains (TGV) and regional trains to make connections to many cities and towns in France and Europe. Check out the SNCF website for train information.
There is a taxi rank outside the bus station and there are usually taxis waiting there. There is also a taxi office right opposite the bus station.

Aime has a few shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. It also has a petrol station and a post office.
