Ben’s Bus operates shared transfers from Grenoble Airport to Val Thorens on Saturdays during the 2020 / 2021 ski winter season. This is our 15th year running our low cost airport transfers to the French Alps. Our network of routes includes shuttles from Lyon Airport to Val Thorens & Geneva Airport to Val Thorens. We are the cheapest ski transfers on the market and our dedicated staff ensure a reliable, quality and timely service. We usually transport passengers in coaches, which reduces the environmental impact of your journey.
TRANSFERS FROM GRENOBLE AIRPORT TO VAL THORENS
A shared ski transfer from Grenoble Airport (GNB) to Val Thorens with Ben’s Bus on a Saturday will cost you £91pp Return. GRENOBLE AIRPORT TO VAL THORENS TRANSFER TIME
The transfer time from Grenoble Airport to Val Thorens is about 3 hours 20 minutes, depending on the date, time of day, the weather and road conditions. We allow more time for the journey when we know the traffic may be bad. The distance from Grenoble Airport to Val Thorens is 187 km. We have up to 6 buses going back and forth each Saturday. The route our vehicles usually take is the A43 (E70) motorway to Albertville, then the N90 national road to Moutiers before climbing the D117 to Val Thorens.
VAL THORENS BUS STOPS
Our service stops at the main bus station, the Val Thorens Gare Routiere. We also have a stop for those staying at the Val Thorens UCPA centre. You can select either of our stops when you book with us. Expand the section “BUS STOP LOCATION” below to see a map of our stops. There are also some details of the free in-resort shuttle bus service. This map will be shown on your eTicket. When you arrive at Grenoble Airport, a Ben’s Bus rep will be there to help you. We also have reps in the resort on Saturdays to ensure you find our bus and we’ll try to call you if you are not there on time.
INFORMATION ABOUT VAL THORENS AND GRENOBLE AIRPORT
Every SATURDAY from the 6th February 2021 until the 10th April 2021.
We do have more buses from Geneva Airport to Val Thorens, including on Sundays.
OTHER DAYS: There is a shuttle bus from Grenoble Airport to Grenoble city centre. From Grenoble you would need to take a train (with SNCF) or bus to Moutiers with and then a public bus from Moutiers to Val Thorens. Alternatively, you could book a direct private taxi.
Please Note The Following Exceptions:
– On the 6th February we only have services from Grenoble airport.
– On the 10th April we only have services to Grenoble airport.

Our bus timetable works around the flight arrivals and departures so you never have to wait long. The easiest way to find the bus time that connects with your flight is to put your details into our Instant Quote form. Please note that our last bus on Saturday evening departs Grenoble Airport at the following times:
- 14th Dec - 4th Jan - 19:50
- 18th Jan - 1st Feb - 18:15
- All other Saturdays - 19:10
On Sundays, we only operate a morning service to and from Val Thorens.
At all other times you can buy tickets for the service to Grenoble centre and from there you can take public transport to and from Val Thorens.
The transfer time between Grenoble Airport and Val Thorens is usually between 3 hours 10 minutes & 3 hours 40 minutes. We allow extra time on certain dates & certain times of the day when we know the traffic may be bad.
Please note that we may ask you to change buses at Moutiers, the village at the bottom of the mountain. Our reps and / or drivers will help you with this.
We have 2 stops in Val Thorens, both of which are detailed below. The majority of our customers will wish to use our Gare Routiere stop. If you are staying at the UCPA, then scroll further down.
Val Thorens Gare Routiere Bus Stop
We pick up and drop off at the main bus station, the 'Gare Routiere', in the centre of Val Thorens. You can see it on google maps here.

Val Thorens UCPA Bus Stop
Walk out of the main entrance of the UCPA and take the track to the left, leading onto the main road. Our bus will stop in the lay-by directly opposite, on the side of the road heading down the mountain. You can see the stop on google maps here.
We allow a minimum of 45 minutes for customers to clear Passport Control and Baggage Reclaim. At busy times of the day, we allow even more time.
If you are delayed, we will wait for you but we may not be able to hold our bus for longer than 15 minutes after its scheduled departure time. After that we will do everything we can to get you on our next available transfer service at no extra cost.
Our team at the airport monitor flight arrivals so you don't need to contact us if you are delayed. Our team will be busy juggling buses around to try to accommodate you on another service - or we may be holding the bus back. We have many buses going back and forth each day and our record for getting people to resort is extremely good.

Please note that from time to time, our transfers from Grenoble Airport may require a stop at Moutiers, where you may need to change over to another feeder coach. Our reps and / or drivers will help you with this and we will try and keep this inconvenience to a minimum.
