It’s been a glorious start to November in the Alps, with more than 50cm falling across most of the French ski resorts. More importantly, temperatures are predicted to stay well below zero for the next week. This is crucial to ensure the snow doesn’t melt and forms a solid foundation, allowing future snowfalls to build up the all important ‘base’. Click the image to the left to see the weather forecast for Val Thorens.

Of course, who knows what will happen in a few weeks but it’s a great start and if you’re heading to a high resort, all the signs look good. If you haven’t yet booked your ski holiday, check out Ongosa’s latest blog post of 9 hacks for the perfect ski holiday. – including a special mention of Ben’s Bus! Don’t forget to book your ski transfers early, as our buses often sell out. See which resorts we cover on our Resorts page.

We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed at Ben’s Bus for some more cold weather and big dumps!
