If you are arriving from Grenoble Airport on a morning transfer, or are leaving the resort on an evening transfer, you will probably want to make use of this and get an extra half day's skiing in. However, in our experience, most residences in France will not give out their keys until about 4pm and will then ask you to leave before 10am - Which means you are stuck hanging around in resort looking after your luggage - when you should be skiing.
However, if you are on a Ben’s Bus ski transfer on a Saturday, you need not worry. We have teamed up with Smithys Tavern in Alpe D'Huez and Les Deux Alpes Voyages in Les 2 alpes, to provide you with a secure baggage storage service. All our customers arriving on our morning transfer from Grenoble Airport, or leaving resort for Grenoble Airport on the evening transfer will have the opportunity to leave their bags in a dedicated area for the day.
In Alpe D'Huez, the bar staff at Smithys Tavern will keep an eye on your bags. You can fill up on some breakfast and then head out onto the slopes for an afternoons' skiing. Just make sure you are back with your bags before 6pm – in time for happy hour.
In Les 2 alpes, there is a paid for baggage store run by Les Deux Alpes Voyages agency which is based in Place 2 alpes. Show your Ben’s Bus e-Ticket and get a discount. Your bags will be locked in a secure room in a building right next to the main ski lifts and Ben’s Bus stop. You can access this room between the hours of 8:30am – 12 noon and 2pm – 5pm.
Please note, whilst every care will be taken to ensure only you access your luggage, you leave your items there entirely at your own risk. Neither Ben's Bus Ltd nor Smithys Tavern nor Les Deux Alpes Voyages will be held liable for any loss, theft or damage to your possessions.
You should not leave any valuables in your bags.
