If you are travelling to La Grave, then you can get our bus to Les 2 alpes and we will drop you at the Barrage du Chambon. The Barrage du Chambon is the large dam at the junction of the roads for Les 2 alpes and La Grave (D213 / D1091) Click here to see it on google maps There is a bus stop and a restaurant overlooking the lake. From here you have 2 options:
1. You can get the local taxi man, Jean, to pick you up and take you on to La Grave. His prices are very reasonable ( 37 EUR for up to 8 people, one way) and you can contact him by email fege@9online.fr or by phone 00 33 (0)6 72 67 69 33 for a quote and to book.
2. Alternatively you can catch the local bus, but they are so infrequent and Jean is so cheap, it is really not worth it in our opinion. We would certainly not recommend taking the local bus to meet Ben's Bus on the way back to the airport. Jean is far more reliable! The timetable for the local buses can be found here
Once you have booked the Ben’s Bus to Les 2 alpes online here please then contact us grenobleairport@bensbus.co.uk to let us know you will need dropping off at / picking up at the Lac du Chambon so we can make a note of it on our transfer list.
When you meet the Bens' Bus at Grenoble Airport, please ensure you get on the bus going to Les 2 alpes and that you remind the driver you need to get off at the Barrage du Chambon. If you change Ben's Bus at Bourg d'Oisans (the village at the bottom of the mountain) remember to remind the new driver you need to get off at the Barrage du Chambon and that you are still on the bus going to Les 2 Alpes!!
For your return to the airport, you will need to be at the Barrage du Chambon bus stop, opposite the restaurant, 5 minutes after the departure time from Les 2 alpes as shown on your Ben’s Bus e-Ticket. Keep an eye out for vehicles coming down from Les 2 alpes with a Ben's Bus sign in the windscreen.
